Multilingual North European Mammals Dictionary
MBdbfont : the Multilingual Dictionary display font
MBdbfont is a custom TrueType font which is used in this database implementation to enable correct
text display in all of the supported languages.
If you are a PC-based Windows95/98 user, you can download and install MBdbfont to enable correct viewing
of the database contents.
If you are not a Windows95/98 user, you can still explore the dictionary, but you will not be able to properly display
Cyrillic characters and characters with diacritics (accents).
Sorry
- we currently do not have suitable fonts available for use with other
operating systems.
If you do go ahead, and download the MBdbfont, note
that it will not become available for use in your browser until after you have installed it into the
Windows95/98 subsystem of your computer.
Do this by using the My Computer | Control Panel | Fonts | File | Install New Font
command sequence from the Windows95/98 desktop.
The MBdbfont (True Type) font will appear in the selector box after you pick the directory into which it was downloaded
(this will vary, depending on how your browser is set up).
Select the MBdbfont (True Type) font by highlighting it, and then click OK to install.
Note : You do not have to configure your browser to use MBdbfont, because the database display pages are coded to call it
automatically, when required.
Enjoy!
